Illustrator Ellen Vesters specializes in storytelling. She graduated with a distinction from the prestigious Master’s program in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art in 2017.
Ellen’s love for teaching is as great as for illustration itself. So in 2013 she decided to start course center Urlaub, which quickly became a well-known learning environment in the Dutch course landscape. After ten years of Urlaub, she took a giant leap forward with the creation of academy VENSTER.
Ellen has since tutored 125 business students and 475 illustration students, 275 of whom took her picture book course. Course participants on average evaluate her with a 9.
In 2020 and 2021, Ellen was a judge at international Picture This!-illustration competition run by Uitgeverij Lemniscaat, among others.
